My personal life and professional background

I am an experienced endurance athlete, personal trainer and Coach holding accreditations with British Triathlon and England Athletics. I specialise in creating training plans for busy people, be it professionals or parents, for all levels from beginners to advanced. Importantly, the plans I provide are simple,

scientific and personalised as we all have different goals, levels of fitness, time to train, lifestyles and injury history. For many people, it can be daunting establishing how to achieve a fitness challenge. Quite often all that is needed is the guidance and support from someone who has lived it both personally and for countless clients. I have the personal experience and expertise to know – no matter what the goal it can be achieved. As a busy professional and father of 3 young children, I have managed to balance all of these aspects and competing priorities to successfully complete many endurance events including multiple Ironman, on home and foreign soil. This is more than a business for me, I am passionate about health and also seeing people push themselves to achieve things they didn’t think possible.

As a personal trainer I have always helped people realise their fitness potential.

My philosophy is to incorporate training within my athlete’s life in a manageable and sustainable way – ensuring maximum training effect for the minimum stress. Critically, this allows my athletes to make the start line injury free, in a strong state mentally and physically and with a specific race day plan to execute. My fulfilment and motivation are seeing my athletes not only cross the finish line but enjoying it with a smile and wanting to go again to the next challenge.

Who can I help? As a coach with access to the market-leading coaching tool TrainingPeaks and the power of technology, I can support anyone local, national, or international. All my training plans break down into daily activities. Details are provided through daily email reminders or can pull through directly to your training watch.

Through my time in sport and fitness, I have built a great network of experts. Sports nutritionists, physio & sports therapists, and podiatrists which, where necessary can complement the individualised training plans I provide. This means no matter your challenge I can provide support or expertise to ensure you cross your finish line.

The big question…can I help you?

  • Have you ever considered a 10k, half marathon, marathon, ultra marathon or other running event but don’t know if you could actually achieve it?
  • Have you looked at triathlon events such as Ironman and wanted to get involved but are not sure where to start?
  • Do you follow free generic plans online?
  • Do you spend hours researching various training techniques?
  • Do you do the same training routes or run at the same paces all the time?
  • Have you ever got injured in training?
  • Do you spend more money on physios than you do in entrance fees?
  • Has an injury prevented you making the start line?
  • Have you completed an event and said never again?
  • Do you know the difference between the body’s different energy systems and how this can help you improve performance?
  • Do you get stressed thinking what training you should do? Do you overthink things? Or under-think things then leave it too late?
  • Do you lack confidence and need someone who can take away the questions so you can just deliver?
